5 Steps To Use Your R4 DS in 5 Minutes Out Of The Box
If you don't know what an R4 DS is, this quick run down will explain what it is. Want more details on the R4 DS Card? I would urge you to read all of my articles on the R4 DS card to get better aquinted with them.In my last articles and reviews I described in detail exactly what the R4 DS is and what it can do as well as how it works. ps2cover.{com for a detailed feature and function list}~com for a detailed list of all of the features and functions~{{com for a list of all of the features and functions}~com for a list of all of the features and functions}~{com for detailed lists of features and functions}~com for a list of features~com for a list of all functions~{com for a detailed run down of all features and functions}~com for an in depth list of all of the functions and features~com for a full list of features and functions~{com for a good look at all of the functions and features}~{{com for a full list of all of the functions and features}~{com for a features and functions list}~{com for a list of all of the features and functions}~com for a list of all of the features and functions}~com for a full list of all of the functions and features~{com for a full list of all of the functions and features}~{com for a features and functions list}~{com for a list of all of the features and functions}~com for a list of all of the features and functions}. I would suggest that if you're not quite sure as to what the R4 DS is, and what it can do, that you do some research on this truly unique Nintendo DS accessory.
In short, the R4 DS is a flash card for the Nintendo DS that allows you to play hundreds of free home brew game and home brew application on your NDS... on your NDS or DSi console. For less than $30 dollars, your Nintendo DS turns into a whole entertainment unit.00
There are some quick and easy tips to follow. While some of these tips may seem obvious, it even took me about a week and a half of using the R4 DS before I came up with some ways to make my life (and game playing) a little bit easier.
1. Copy your games and game files to a specific directory on the micro SD card. Create a GAME folder and put all of your GAMES into this folder. You'll have a much easier time when you are looking for games. It makes browsing to them in the menu much easier, and all your game save files will also be organized.
2. Store your MP3 Music files and video files in seperate folders too, and in the case of multiple music albums on the memory card, you should make a sub-directory of each album. This is a MUST for anyone that has lots of music, with all of the track names labelled TRACK 1.mp3, TRACK 2.mp3, etc... By putting your files in seperate and different directories, you'll at least have them organized because you can put all of your MP3 albums in individual directories so you'll at least know that TRACK-1.MP3 in the music directory is the album that you're looking for.
3. Make sure you try and make a copy of all of your game saves on your hard drive at least 1-2 times a week. Not because you could lose your save games, but you may want to try a level again to get a better score without having to start from the start again. It's also good to get into this habit because you may erase a game (and its save game file) and not have a backup in case you want to play that game once again sometime in the future. While this one really seems like an obvious hint, you would be surprised to know that most of our technical support emails for the R4 DS deal with how to get back erased or deleted game saves that were not backed up. I recommend doing this at LEAST once a week, more if you play your games more frequently.
4. You don't want to take out the microSD Card from the R4 DS in the NDS each time you want to add files. The spring in the R4 DS microSD card slot, you can just push and have the card spring out or pop out. You can then quickly put it into the included microSD Card reader / writer in order to change games and files or add music or video.
5. This is my final suggestion. And it deals with the microSD card in the card slot of the R4 DS. When you put the Nintendo DS or DS Lite into your pocket or pick it up. Check to make sure that the microSD card is in the R4 DS card. Make sure that the microSD card is in the card slot of the R4DS and it's not loose or ready to pop out. The chances of it popping out without you pushing down on the card are slim, but it could happen while you're carrying it in your pocket. There would be nothing worse than losing your microSD card somewhere, because it popped out and fell on the ground. MicroSD Cards are small and tiny, and once lost, you would have a hard time finding it anywhere else except at a store, where you'd be buying a new one. If your NDS is in a case you can protect yourself from losing your R4 DS Card. You should make sure to that this is something you do before you even turn it on.
The R4 DS is a cartridge that emulates and behaves exactly like an original Nintendo DS cartridge, but with many more features and functions. It lets you watch movies on your NDS, DS Lite and DSi as well as play MP3 Music. The r4 DS turns your Nintendo DS or i into a full blown hand held multimedia system. It'll allow you to watch movies, listen to MP3 music and much more. For more information on the R4 DS cards and homebrew games in general, please visit http://www.ps2cover.com/nintendo-ds.shtml
Motherboard and Graphic Card power comsumption?
I am getting a processor that needs 500 watts, and I have a 600 watt power supply. But I am also getting a processor that needs 125 watts. Does the processor watts go on the motherboards, or is it taken from the power supply?
The minimum requirement set by graphics card manufacturers is the wattage for all devices and hardware in and average computer. When they state minimum requirement is 500 watts that is not for the graphics card alone,No graphics card will use 500 watts of power.
So if the minimum requirement set by the graphics card manufacturer is 500 watts then your 600 watt will be more than ample to do the job.
Run a PSU calculator http://www.thermaltake.outervision.com/ input your hardware and it will calculate what your power draw will be and recommend a minimum PSU.
You will find it will be well below 600watts
iPad's Momentum in Restaurants Grows with Buffalo Wild Wings Trial (Macrumors)
Ever since the iPad was introduced two years ago, its potential to
revolutionize the restaurant industry has been widely touted, with some
restaurants already moving to replace their traditional point-of-sale devices
with iPads and companies such as Square seeking to fill that need.
And while iPads in restaurants have been catching on here and there, the
concept could be ripe for major expansion if a pilot program from restaurant
chain Buffalo Wild Wings proves worthwhile. As detailed by _Computerworld_,
Buffalo Wild Wings is expanding an initial pilot program at one of its Toronto
area locations to a new location in Minneapolis, stocking each table with an
iPad to allow customers to place their own orders and browse the Internet.
> "Ultimately, we are trying to use the technology to enhance the customer
experience," [Buffalo Wild Wings director of international business Tim
Murphy] said in an interview. "People are familiar with iPads, iPhones and
Android tablets, so this would enhance that."
The chain hasn't decided whether to combine purchasing from the device with
purely entertainment uses, something it hopes to measure in its tests, Murphy
said.
The iPad project has seen Buffalo Wild Wings partner with HubWorks
Interactive, which ...
