Dell Or HP, Which Is Number One
Dell Inc computers are currently in the number two spot, but working to get to the top slot of PC(personal computers) sales internationally. Currently the number one spot of PC sales is held by HP (Hewlett-Packard Co.).
Dell offered their PC’s at an actual store instead of their low-cost regular on-line or phone only procedure in May of this year. The happy store of choice to begin displaying Dell was Wal-Mart. In 3,000 plus sites, Dell PC’s were sold. This brought in enough profit for Dell that they have decided to branch out even further and sell the well-known Dell Inspiron 530 desktops, as well as the Inspiron 1721 and 1521 notebooks, in Staples stores. Now Dell has 10,000 plus additional stores globally to go along with its on-line and telephone sales.
The number one position is a serious competition since HP is displayed also at Staples stores around the globe. Side by side on the shelves the competitors will be displayed. Notebook computer sales are on the increase due to great demand of bringing fiber optic connectivity into the suburban home in addition to the fight. Folks seem to be at ease with the use of optical transceivers with SFP or GBIC modules, which translates to gigabit interface converter also commonly used with Gigabit Ethernet and fiber channel. This can offer very high-speed Internet access. Optical fiber systems may also be implemented to send out and receive digital television broadcasts and phone communications. Since the 1970’s broadband tools or the assistance of optical transceivers have been available and they accelerate the wireless connections, but the majority of home owners are still getting dial up connections instead.
The lead-reduced versions of its OptiPlex GX520 and GX620 corporate desktop computers were shown to an encouraging response earlier this month as part of Dell’s new marketing that could give them a small edge to consumers. Dell has always been a proactive environmental company, but they are bringing it up a notch for the visibility and launch of new products.
With returns of $15 billion and operating income of $1.2 billion, Dell’s fiscal year 2012 first quarter financial statement illustrates that Dell’s earnings per share are at a historical 49 cents. Spelling out victory as Dell’s aim to move into the number one spot is almost certain. Now the consumers must vote with their money.
will my dell optiplex 320 mini tower take a 1gb graphics card?
I have a dell optiplex 320 and want to know if it could take a 1gb graphics card, and if not, what would i need to get it to work, if possible.
Specs:
1.5gb RAM
intel celeron D 3.06ghz processor
305w power supply
80gb Hard Drive
any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Yes it will take the installation of the card but with a few conditions.
Do you have the right socket for the card to fit? (PCiXpress I would assume)
Is there enough space to fit the card? Some cards are rather large and there are several things that often get in the way, your PSU, your memory modules and CD and Hard Drives may also need to be moved.
Do you have enough power from the PSU to run it? Some graphics cards require a power plug (or two) to run the VGA, check the cards requirements. They often require a minimum output PSU as well, I would suggest that your 305W (should that be 350?) is perhaps not sufficient and particularly during games play at full frame rate you may find the graphics card wants most of the output from the PSU leaving next to nothing for all the other hardware and your PC will crash.
Geek deals: Dell Optiplex quad-core desktop with two LED monitors for $729 (Geek)
It’s rare to find a quad-core processor in a machine for less than a grand,
let alone a bundle that includes not one, but two LED monitors thrown into the
mix. This deal on a Dell Optiplex 790 desktop and two LED monitors is that
bundle. The Dell Optiplex 790 may not be the most [...]
