Consider The Asus P67 When You Build A Computer
Are you searching for a budget price p67 motherboard that is going to suit your needs? The Asus p67 will definitely do the trick. The Asus p67 features a blue-black board (the standard Asus style) and comes in the form of micro ATX. The Serial Advance Technology Attachment or SATA ports are well placed so that there's no mess created when you plug in the wires. The PCIE slots are placed in a way in order to provide maximum ventilation
The great thing about a p67 chipset is that it has an increased DDR3 memory and core multiplier ratio. Moreover, the p67 chipset supplies the overlocking capability that's a much-needed benefit for the game-players. This ability of the board assists the users to reach maximum results from their system. The p67 chipset is built to support the second-generation Sandy Bridge processor in a 1155 socket package. It includes four Twin in-line Memory Modules or DIMMs and can support twin channel DDR3 of up to 32 Gbs..
The chipset has 3 PCI (E) slots that run at 16X configuration or a dual of 8X-8X configuration. The third slot is at a 4X configuration. It also provides the users with two SATA 6 Gigs and four SATA 3 Gigabytes that will support SATA RAID. It also provides with either 14 USB 2.0 ports or two USB 3.0 ports. And last although not the least, the chipset is also accompanied with an eight channel HD audio with a surround sound feature.
The Asus p67 uses the EFI feature that supplies the users with an easy to use BIOS interface, so that they can use the mouse rather than the conventional keyboard. The chipset can support up to a memory of 2 Terabyte, which is amazing. The users are also supplied with the facility to set the frequency of CPU utilising the Turbo five programme.
The motherboard is also accompanied with a specially designed polymer capacitor that guarantees a longer lifespan. The Asus p67 chipset doesn't require heat discharge thru fan that is a great feat as it leads to noise reduction. At the end, I believe the Asus p67 is a total must buy motherboard for each of those who are on a humble budget but still want to enjoy the features of a costly chipset.

how well will this computer set up be?
i have an Asus Striker Extreme LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX motherboard, EVGA 768-P2-N881-AR GeForce 8800Ultra 768MB 384-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card, Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6800 Kentsfield 2.93GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor, Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card, Zaleman heatsink, 2x Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST380815AS 80GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive these are ran in raid 0, and i have 3x 80mm fans, 140mm fan, pci express fan that goes on top of my graphics card.. that is about all i have.. would this be considered a high end gaming computer or is it just a normal comp?
lol i forgot i have another hard drive its a 250 gb, and i am running crosiar 2x2gb ddr 800 i think that is all i can run with my mobo
other than the smallish hard drives.. thats about as high end as you can get (you didnt tell us how much system RAM you had.. but i'd assume its at least 2 GB of DDR2-800 or DDR2-1066)
you can always add a large storage drive that isnt linked into the RAID array
