People, I know what the dems are gunning for. However, the doctrine applies to all programs transmitted over the airways. Deemed as government controled. Of course they are not targeting BET... but the second they force conservative radio shows off the air the "favor" will be recipricated to those programs. They only reason they are trying to limit it to radio is so they don't have to effect their precious liberal tv "news" stations.

This is just another attempt of the Dems to try to use tax dollars and government power to fund/prop up failing industry. Why would you want to keep companies and the peopel running them in business by giving them money after losing what they had.
The fairness doctrine is just a way for dems to make radio stations play programs that had so few listeners it couldnt make it on there own.
Its like making a gun store carry equal amounts of pink AR-15's even though they wont sell them. Radio is business and they pay taxes on income from the so called "free air waves" the government lets them use, so they are not free.
