<content>If you're a Ruby on Rails developer there are two people you should be reading on a regular basis.

h2. Jamis Buck

"Jamis Buck":http://weblog.jamisbuck.org/ is a member of the Rails core team and creator of "Capistrano":http://manuals.rubyonrails.com/read/book/17. The reason you should be subscribed to his blog is because he will make you a better Ruby programmer. His blog is full of bits of code and advice that has definitely made my code cleaner and easier to read. His "Skinny Controller, Fat Model":http://weblog.jamisbuck.org/2006/10/18/skinny-controller-fat-model post should be required for all developers who use the Rails framework.

h2. Jeff Atwood

Jeff Atwood is a .NET guy mostly, but the reason you need to read his blog, "Coding Horror":http://codinghorror.com/blog, is because he covers general programming topics that are incredibly useful. He's also an immensely entertaining writer. Just read him for a few weeks and you'll most likely discover that you've picked up a few things that will make your life as a software developer easier.</content>
