Bloggers You Should Be Reading
Jan 23, 2007If you’re a Ruby on Rails developer there are two people you should be reading on a regular basis.
Jamis Buck
Jamis Buck is a member of the Rails core team and creator of Capistrano. The reason you should be subscribed to his blog is because he will make you a better Ruby programmer. His blog is full of bits of code and advice that has definitely made my code cleaner and easier to read. His Skinny Controller, Fat Model post should be required for all developers who use the Rails framework.
Jeff Atwood
Jeff Atwood is a .NET guy mostly, but the reason you need to read his blog, Coding Horror, is because he covers general programming topics that are incredibly useful. He’s also an immensely entertaining writer. Just read him for a few weeks and you’ll most likely discover that you’ve picked up a few things that will make your life as a software developer easier.
