Power Regulators For Boats
Electronics for modern marine vessels are definitely expensive. Most are built to withstand the atmosphere of water travel. They are made to be waterproof, shock-proof, and even heat resistant. There is quite a range of marine electronics. Among them are navigational tools like GPS, sonar, radar, and chartplotters. Of course, there are necessities like lights and radio as well as other conveniences like air conditioning, an audio system, and refrigerator. Luxury vessels might even want a television or a computer in there. Fishing vessels would have echo sounders and other fish-finding transducers. Researchers and explorers would also have their additional range of electronics specific to their mission. Given ample resources, a boat really can be equipped with almost anything.
To power these electronics, circuitry and power supply need to be carefully chosen and mapped out. Inverters, transformers, switching, and control circuits needed for marine vessels are available from the likes of Seven Star. Electric currents should be regulated so as to prevent power surges. Although marine electronics and their large price tags may be built tough to withstand environmental stressors like intense vibrations and water, when faced with a current surge, they are likely to break down. In fact, surges in current are one of the most common reasons that marine electronics break down. To prevent this, circuitry should be meticulously planned and installed with surge protectors and power regulators. If not, then you will likely be spending to repair or replace sensitive marine equipment.
Once installed, it is just as important to monitor them consistently. Seven Star can work in tandem with monitoring system professionals like Maretron to develop and install a circuitry and power monitoring system. Monitoring systems for marine vessels are not limited to just the circuitry. All the boat’s electronic and engine functions in fact need to be consistently monitored throughout a trip to ensure safety at all times. These include: AC power, air conditioning/heating, DC power, water depth, electrical distribution (breaker status), engine (RPM, fuel flow, temperature, pressure), GPS monitoring (position, SOG, COG, satellite status), heading, indicators (smoke detectors, hatches, high bilge, motion), navigation (bearing to waypoint, XTE, time to go), rudder position, speed/distance, tank levels, transmission, vessel attitude, and anchor among others.
Computer shuts down when burning DVD?
I have tried to burn a DVD using Sonic MyDvd program. i had the power supply replaced at the local shop and brough it home and it did it again. it is a 2.4G file that i'm trying to burn, i tried just one small video and it did fine. but can't get through the big file without shutting down. any ideas?
PC is an HP that has 2G RAM.
power supply is 400Watts
possibly your power supply is tripping because your new burner takes up more power, you may need to replace your power supply to a 500 Watt just to be safe.
